What does it do and why do we need one?
What is an Enduring Guardianship Appointment?
An enduring Guardianship Appointment is a formal legal document giving authority to another person to make decisions for you and do things on your behalf regarding matters such as what medical treatment you recieve, where you live and other decisions about non-medical services.
Why is it called Enduring?
It is enduring (ie long lasting) because it continues to operate if the person who gives it loses his or her capacity to make their own decisions.
